OUR STORY
House of Paradox became a reality when I decided to pursue my passion for Entrepreneurship and Business Management at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. There, I found myself revisiting and reshaping my ideas for HoP time and time again. At first, I imagined a space that brought together my two loves—coffee and fashion—in one. But as I evolved, so did my vision, and I made a very difficult decision to part ways with my eight-year journey in coffee industry to fully immerse myself into the world of fashion. Throughout all the dreaming and planning of House of Paradox, a consistent theme stayed: a deep commitment to people, authentic connections, and helping others express their true selves.

Our Mission
At House of Paradox, we celebrate the fluidity of style, embracing the beauty in masculinity, femininity, and androgyny. We believe in liberating individuals from the constraints of singular fashion norms, empowering them to express the diverse facets of their identity through clothing that knows no bounds.
Fashion is a beautiful form of self expression and art. At House of Paradox, we embrace a limitless spectrum rather than a singular avenue. Our commitment lies in curating collections that empowers individuals to navigate this spectrum freely. House of Paradox strives to foster a space where personal identity flourishes.
Our Vision
Where fashion becomes a catalyst for personal liberation, uniqueness flourishes, and the beauty of paradoxical styles unfold with boundless creativity.
At House of Paradox, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive, expressive, and distinctive fashion and personal experience. We hope to pave clearer paths in the fashion industry where there is more inclusive and accessible sizing, freedom of paradoxical styles, and providing clothing that is for everyone.
ANISHA HOPE
Born and raised in Nebraska, I was exposed to entrepreneurship, fashion, and design at a young age. At the time, my mother was a fashion designer and model. My grandmothers were incredible seamstresses, and my grandfather was a successful business owner. I developed a deep passion for entrepreneurship, fashion, and design at a young age. You could find me dressing not only myself but also my dogs, yes, my dogs, Barbies, and baby dolls.
Yet, I grew up placing myself in a box that was bursting at the seams with paradoxes. It wasn't until the last couple of years that I had the revelation that I wasn't bound to a singular box. I could embrace being a living, breathing paradox. That is what I want to share with you: that you can be a living, breathing, fashionable paradox. (:
Most importantly, my heart is always for people. I am the tried-and-true enneagram type two, the helper. People and love is what matters most to me. My hope is that I can accomplish this all while having a ton of fun with you, fashion, and House of Paradox.
JOSHUA ALLEN
My greatest passion is helping and encouraging others to become the best version of themselves. I’ve had that heart ever since I can remember. I attribute this heart to two things: my family and growing up in Minnesota.
There’s a common phrase in Minnesota that I grew up with; leave no trace. Yes, I was taught this during Cub Scouts. But I was also taught it during my time in professional choir. The premise of leaving no trace is making sure whenever you leave the wilderness, it’s truer than how it originally was. What I learned in choir is that principle is how we should treat other people as well. Helping others become truer to themselves became one of my core character qualities.
My family further solidified that in me through their examples of who they are and how that impacts the world around them. My parents and my Grandpa Arne specifically come to mind when I think of who impacted me the most. As the pastor was chasing off cocaine addicts from the church’s front door, my grandpa was catching up to them to make sure they had a meal to eat. The world is a hard place, but that doesn’t mean it’s hard to be kind.
I’m so excited to be a part of House of Paradox with my amazing wife, Anisha, as it is a safe space for others to present themselves more truly. In a way, we are bringing “leave no trace” to the fashion industry in the way that we are helping others express themselves in their truest form.
